OK, I admit it; I’m the Mr. Spock of wine bloggers.
El Jefe laid me bare in his post early this morning (insomnia?) with his poetic argument regarding scores. Let me be clear here, the score is the exclamation point on a bit of prose on the wine in question. Sure, I’m a bit clinical and detached in my reviews sometimes but I do have some passion to spare that Spock might not express. I’ll work on expressing this a bit more.
But I stil think the 5-star (or glass/bottle/cork/bung/unicorn) system is the way for us wine bloggers to go…
Discuss 😉
OK, I’ll say it:
Tim, Drink Long and Prosper!!!
I was throwing rocks at scoring systems in general, not you – I just went with the stronger title…
Moat interesting, Captain…
What I like about your post, Jeff, is that the discussion should be on the written part of the note and not the score. Thanks for your poetry 😉
Spock once said: “If you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.”
Or is it the Snooth? 😉
Tim, it’s always difficult being the leader, cause you catch the most arrows as you noted yesterday! But look at all the great discussion. We may not be ready to install our plugins yet, but just like Spock you’ve got us all thinking, writing, and commenting.
Spock might even try to imagine being pleased at all the to-do.
I am what I am, Doctor, and if there are self-made purgatories, then we all have to live in them. Mine can be no worse than someone else’s.
And I am pleased with the logical discussion on this issue, even if there are some human emotional vagaries (raised eyebrow for emphasis).
