I would usually wait until early next week for a reminder that June 14th is Wine Blogging Wednesday. My early post is due to the level of difficulty of finding a red wine – a true red, not rosé – that is 12.5% ABV or less. While there are a few out there even from California that come in just under the wire, most entries will be from cooler appellations like Germany, France’s Alsace region or every Austria (Beau?!). You could, of course, raid your cellar for some older vintages of Bordeaux or even some California Cab’s. If you want some inspiration, you can check out the first two entries posted a week early that include an Aussie Shiraz!
Join me on next Wednesday, June 14th for the event and have fun shopping. Me, I’m still looking for that California Zinfandel 😉
… and from the heat of Brussels a light red 🙂
