Noticed this post on Gizmodo today that features what every wine loving geek needs: a 3U rack mountable wine rack! While I don’t think this would be good for your best reds or even “2-Buck Chuck”, it might be OK for Madera 😉

I saw this post yesterday. Although slow-cooking your wine between 2 expensive slabs of electronics is probably not ideal (that’s what a crock-pot is for), I imagine a server rack enclosure dedicated exclusively to the task would be a VERY sturdy and not inappropriate place to store wine. Temperature and humidity control are key factors to both wine and computer equipment alike. Considering the cost of high-end wine storage equipment, this might actually be a reasonable option for the wine geek with too much extra money laying around. (alternatively, they could buy me a surdyks gift certificate)
