Three years ago today…

…I went down to my basement, tasted three Zinfandels and Winecast was born. It really doesn’t seem like that long ago, and in some ways really isn’t, but this blog and podcast turns 3 today.

I have to be honest that the last couple years have been challenging but I’m looking forward to an excellent 2008 with a return to more frequent podcasting. I really appreciate everyone who has participated here over my first 1,095 days. The best is yet to come.

Cheers!

Happy bloggin’ birthday, Tim. It’s been good to share in your experiences thus far. Frankly, I’ve learned a lot from you and look to you first for technical guidance as I produce for my own blog - betcha didn’t know that!

Cheers to the next three years!

Thanks Russ and Sonadora! Much more in the future like another podcast posted about the same time as the first one (if I get it done in time).

    Cheers!

What winehiker said. You’ve been a mentor to many of us whether you realize it (or like it!) or not. In fact, you may find me finally podcasting this year. Looking forward to many more ‘casts from you this year! cheers!! - j

Tim, you were my introduction and inspiration in the blogging world. I’m so glad that you are looking forward to the next year–so are your listeners and readers!

Congratulations. Think what could have happened if you’d tasted four bottles! Next time don’t hold back. Well done.

    Tim,

Congrats on the b-day. As one of the graybeards of wine blogging, we all look to you for inspiration and “stick-to-it-tiveness” when our own efforts seem to flag.

I’m glad you’re back blogging with renewed vigor and the podcast collaboration has been a blast for me this year, and a definite highlight of my ‘07.

All the best from your friend(s) in the wine blogosphere,

    Jeff

    Hi Tim,

Just got to your blog because of Alder.
Interesting blog, really nice but nothing about sake, why so?
Alder puts almost every week an item about sake on it’s, you didn’t use sake at all as I can see in search.
Well, you as a wine lover without posting anything about sake last few years made me curious. I myself, still I like wine, I graduated on the wine university, I however prefer sake.

    Best regards,
    Simon Hofstra http://www.sake.nl

    Simon,

To be honest, there are really not that many places here in Minnesota who stock fresh Sake. But I will be on the lookout and will post a review or two this year. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Cheers!
