I thought the event was an interesting blend of perspectives. It included some new technologies, both Internet-based and non-Internet-based. I liked that wineries were involved (great meeting you El Jefe!). Overall, it was a socializing event more than a discussion of the technologies behind Wine 2.0. It was a good time nonetheless. Maybe the next one can be more technology focused.

It is amazing how many things can come between a blogger and his ability to make a coherent post. (OK, you can argue whether ANY of my posts are coherent, but I digress.) I at last have a post up at elbloggotorcido.com.

I agree with Jason that little deep discussion on the future of "Wine 2.0" occurred. Instead, it was good old fashioned putting faces to names, making new contacts, and doing business!

[...] I was reading a post over at Winecast where Tim was lamenting the lack of Wine 2.0 posts. This, then, is my contribution. [...]

That sounds like a pretty good idea. Why not discuss wine 2.0 with in the most high tech way possible.

Mon, Tues, Weds before Thanksgiving works best for me (week from tomorrow).

Tim, my experience at the event was similar to what Joel describes. We didn't get into too much deep discussion on the future of Wine 2.0.

I'm downloading Second Life now (man, I'm behind the times). A meeting there would be awesome. Keep me informed.

Hope the little one is back to normal... doesn't seem you missed too much, anyway.

Perhaps to continue the conversation we should hold a virtual meet-up on lingr or Second Life? What do you think about that?

I had to bail on Wine 2.0 b/c of baby illness but I heard from a friend who went and it was, apparently, more of a social between Wine 2.0 pioneers - not too structure. Free flowing exchange of ideas over (what else) some good glasses of wine.

I was hoping to catch up with some of the local bloggers and wine 2.0 folks but sometimes life just gets in the way :(...
