Iron Mike Launches Wine

Former NFL coach and player Iron Mike Ditka is launching his own wine brand ranging from $10 for his Pinot Grigio (”My wife only drinks pinot grigio.”) to around $50 for his “Kick Ass Red” blend of Zinfandel, Syrah and Petite Sirah (”One word: powerful . . . with a nice, pleasant pepper finish.”) Also in the line up is a Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
I’d have thought Ditka to be a beer and shot kind of guy but apparently he’s, “drank red wine my whole life.” Interesting… I wonder what wine he’d drink with a Giordano’s stuffed pizza? My money’s on the Kick Ass Red
