Winecast Joins Backbeat Media

Back Beat Media

As I mentioned on my latest podcast, I have joined the Backbeat Podcast Network who will represent my podcast to sponsors. I have been looking for a way to earn a bit more money from the show and Backbeat brings their web advertising expertise, while I can devote full energies to producing the podcast. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, click the “sponsorâ€Â? menu item on the top of the blog. I’m excited to be joining Backbeat as one of their charter podcasts and look forward to a long and successful partnership.

    Congrats Tim. That’s fantastic news.

That’s great, Tim! Does this mean you’ll get paid to podcast? Will they pay for wines too? Good luck!

Well, sort of ;-) The income I receive from sponsorship will go into funding the show, but it will not be a full time job (at least for now, anyway). Working with Backbeat will also help me to further expand the Winecast audience, which will make the show more valuable to advertisers. What sold me on this partnership is that I will continue to do the show the way I want to do it and don’t have to worry about finding a sponsor myself and the possible conflict of interest issues that might crop up. Backbeat has been selling online sponsorships for years, has the contacts in the advertising community and is taking this expertise to a few podcasters in building their network. It’s really a win-win for everybody including listeners.
