Pat posted a challenge in the comments from my last podcast where I talked about my favorite wine store. What’s yours?
So what’s your favorite wine store?

Corkscrews, in Princeton. Small shop with friendly owners, whole shop is chilled to the proper temperature, great recommendations, wide variety from all over the world!

Well until now it has been Surdyk’s: http://www.surdyks.com/
Great selection, good prices, an educated staff too assist selection, and a very nice attached cheese shop.
But I’m certainly going to give Solo Vino a try.
I agree, Doug, Surdyk’s definitely feels the love too, but I think you will be really pleased with the service and selection at Solo Vino. It’s a tough call, but Solo Vino is tops in my book with Surdyk’s a close second (love their sales
My favorite is Corridor Wine & Spirits in Laurel, MD. They have a large selection at great prices. Their staff is also very knowledgeable of their selection.
My favorite is a neighborhood mainstay for as long as I can remember. Joe’s Wines & Liquors. I remember my Mom taking me in there once a week when she would buy her Blue Nun. The place hasn’t changed a bit. Even the funky neon sputnik sign still works.
There is another shop I go to, simply because they have a huge selection, but I will always go to Joe’s for the nostalgia & they have great people working there.
The Winery at 4 Clifton Road in Maida Vale, London. Great small store with helpful and friendly (kind of a rarity here in London) staff, they have introduced me to all kinds of old and new world wines. Great monthly tastings. Highly recommended to those of you in my neighborhood.
Also, LOVE your podcasts!
We just had a new store open up in our area, called Vino 100. Its a franchise out of Philadelphia and its awesome! They try to bring in wines that the state doesn’t already have registered. Great service and great prices! Keep up the good work on the podcasts!
