Winecast 37 - Sonoma Coast

This week’s podcast is a bit of an experiment in the format, influenced by Jon Gordon’s, “Future Tense”, show and podcast. I introduce a hot new wine region in California, the Sonoma Coast AVA, and recommend some Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to check out from the area.

Wineries mentioned on the show:
- Williams-Selyem
- J Rochioli Vineyards & Winery
- Gary Farrell
- Flowers Vineyard & Winery
- Littorai
- Hirsch Vineyards
- Siduri Wines
- Kistler Vineyards
- Peay Vineyards
- Sonoma-Cutrer
- Marcassin Vineyard
- Aubert Wines
- Martinelli Winery & Vineyards
- Pax Wine Cellars
- La Crema

Since you asked for feedback, I’ll say this. The format is novel, and I wouldn’t mind it occasionally as a change of pace, but it doesn’t appeal to me as much as you’re normal format.

    Cheers!

    ummm….why fix what isn’t broken?

There was nothing wrong with the old winecast that I love to listen to each week (often multiple times). This format was too fast, didn’t have the background that makes me listen to your show and not others, and felt….commercial.

Let’s stick with the old format.

Thanks for your feedback, Stephen and Matt. It is consistent with others I’ve received via email. Rest assured that I have returned to the classic format for the latest show and will remain so for the foreseeable future. That’s not to say I have a few other ideas up my sleeve for a special show or two down the road, but they will most likely be of the longer sort.
