Ran across this blog entry today and think it really nails what is at the root of the decline in sales of French wine of late. Although some Americans have stayed away from French imports for political or exchange rate issues, I believe that most of the declines are due to lack of plain-ol’ marketing.

The New York Times has a short piece about the CellarTracker website. I was not familiar with this until I saw the story, but it looks very promising and a great use of the web.

Great essay on how individual taste is when it comes to wine. What I find transcendent, Robert Parker might find pedestrian, but that is what makes wine so compelling IMHO.
